Bucket List

Checked & Unchecked

Not a to-do list. A running record of what I said I’d do, what I’ve actually done, and when.

10of 27
crossed off

Seven years, ten of them done. Six under Build, four under Grind, and nothing yet under Wander — every single one so far was something I could do without leaving the desk.

The run

Crossed off per year, 2019–2026. Nothing in 2020 or 2022. Pick a year to read only what was finished then.

Ship & Share

The work, and what it was supposed to buy.

  • Get 11,000+ organic LinkedIn followers

    Apr 2026

Didn't chase followers. My open-source contributions and this portfolio site did the talking.

  • Get 300+ followers on GitHub

    Mar 2026

Open-sourced tools I built for myself. Useful code finds its audience.

  • Get a remote job

    Jan 2025

Full-time remote at a forward-thinking company. No commute, no office politics — just shipping code from wherever.

  • First open-source contribution

    Dec 2024

Contributed a feature to a popular open-source library. First PR merged, started driving traffic to my GitHub.

  • Remote work with an international client

    Sep 2024

A software engineer in San Francisco found me online and started outsourcing work. That first Wise payment in USD turned into an ongoing collaboration.

  • Build my first application

    Sep 2023

A notes app with localStorage. Terrible code, but when it worked without a page reload, something clicked.

  • Write 10 technical deep-dives

    Open

Not SEO listicles. Real deep-dives on RSC internals, database indexing, building a bundler from scratch.

  • Learn a new programming language

    Open

Go, Rust, or Swift. Something that forces me to think differently about the problems I already know how to solve.

  • Hit 1K stars on a GitHub repo

    Open

By building something so useful that a thousand strangers vouch for it.

  • Ship a product that earns on its own

    Open

A SaaS, a tool, anything. Proof that I can create value independent of my time.

Grind.

Inside Out

The unglamorous half — habits, body, money, attention.

  • Create portfolio website

    Aug 2024

This site. Every pixel is intentional, every interaction earned its place. The project that ties everything else together.

  • Go pure vegetarian

    2021

No meat, no eggs. No exceptions, no 'just this once.' Years in and don't miss it.

  • Quit sugar, coffee, and packaged foods

    2019

All at once. No cheat days. The hardest bugs to fix are the ones in your diet.

  • 100 pushups in 200 seconds

    Done

No breaks, no excuses. Just chest to floor, 100 times, under 3 minutes 20 seconds.

  • Run a 10K under 60 minutes

    Open

Currently can't run 3K without wanting to quit. Sub-60 is the goal. Finishing is the real goal.

  • Hit the gym consistently for a year

    Open

Started lifting, fell off, started again. 365 days without breaking the chain. The compound effect applies to muscle too.

  • Record a podcast conversation

    Open

A real conversation about building on the internet — the messy parts, not the highlights.

  • Reach a $1 million corpus

    Open

Not about the number. About the freedom it buys — the ability to say no to work that doesn't matter.

  • Read 12 books in a year

    Open

Not speed-reading. Actually finishing them. Highlighting, thinking, rereading the good parts.

  • Learn to swim

    Open

Grew up without a pool. It's time. Not just floating — actual laps, actual breathing technique.

  • Learn a martial art

    Open

Boxing, jiu-jitsu, muay thai — something that teaches discipline through getting hit.

  • Meditate for 30 consecutive days

    Open

Longest streak: 11 days. The irony of being too busy to sit still for 10 minutes is not lost on me.

Wander.

Places & Thrills

Nothing crossed off yet. The whole chapter is still ahead.

00 / 05 done

  • Skydiving

    Open

My legs shake on balconies. 13,000 feet of freefall. The fear is the point.

  • Solo travel to another country

    Open

No itinerary, no safety net. A place where I don't speak the language. Getting lost on purpose.

  • 3-month Eurotrip

    Open

Prague, Berlin, Lisbon. Working from cafes, collecting stories. Remote work made this possible — now I need to book the flight.

  • Scuba diving

    Open

Breathing underwater. Seeing a world that's been there the whole time, just below the surface.

  • Camp solo under the stars

    Open

No tent, no roof. Just a sleeping bag, silence, and whatever the sky looks like at 3am.
