Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to this website. By using the site you accept them; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.

They may be amended at any time. The date at the top of this page is the date the text last changed, and the version you are reading is the one in force.

Everything on this website — the text, the writing, the graphics, the interface, the visual design, the source code and the way it is put together — belongs to Mohamed Samour unless something on the page says otherwise.

This codebase is proprietary. It is not open source, and no licence is granted to it beyond the one described in the next section.

Third-party work used here keeps its own ownership and its own terms; what this site depends on is listed on the attribution page.

You have a limited, revocable licence to study parts of this interface — for learning, or as inspiration for your own work. That is meant generously: taking an idea from a page and building your own version of it is fine and encouraged.

Two limits. You may not reproduce the site as a whole, and you may not redistribute its source or its visual design commercially.

Attribution

Substantial use of the design or the code asks for a visible, followable link back to https://mosamour.com.

Revocable

This licence can be withdrawn. If it is, you will be told, and it applies from that point on.

There is nothing on this site to post to. The contact form and the guestbook do not submit anything: they compose a message in your own mail application, and it reaches me as ordinary email.

What you send is yours. By sending it you allow me to read it, reply to it, and — if it is a guestbook message — publish it on the guestbook page with the name you gave. Nothing is published without you having sent it for that purpose, and you can ask me to take it down.

If a guestbook that accepts posts directly is ever built, the same applies to it, along with the obvious limits: nothing unlawful, defamatory or abusive, and I may decline to publish or may remove anything at my discretion.

This site is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. No promise is made that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or free of error — including the technical writing, which describes what worked for me and is not advice.

Links leading off this site are not under my control, and nothing here is a warranty about them.

To the extent the law allows, Mohamed Samour is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your inability to use it — including lost data, lost profit or interrupted work.

Where the law does not allow a limitation of that kind, it does not apply, and nothing here removes a right you hold that cannot be waived.

A terms document usually names the law that governs it and the courts that would hear a dispute. Neither is established anywhere in this project.

Those are not details worth guessing at — naming the wrong jurisdiction is worse than naming none — so this document does not state them. If a dispute ever arose, it would be decided by whatever law properly applies. The owner is the only person who can settle this section, and it will say so plainly once he does.

Questions about any of this, requests to use something, or a note that a term here is unclear: write to me. It is one person reading, and there is no form to fill in.
